  1. Ability to redirect data (machine or user locations) to one or more custom containers

Ability to redirect specific directories to one or more specific VHDX containers. Taking the existing functionality of O365 and Profile containers but empowering administrators to define exactly which paths should be redirected and to which custom containers. Paths might be global paths such as C:\Program Data\ and would need to allow for per user abstraction/virtualisation of those directories as App Masking redirection rules provide currently.

  2. Be able to delete old files with redirections.xml

Using redirections.xml to exclude folders such as cache and temporary folders. In case you exclude a folder in the xml file, only data added to the folder after the exclusion will not be kept in the profile container. But old data in an existing profile container will stay there. Then you need cleanup scripts to do that part. Why not be able to do that from redirections.xml?

  3. Migration tools for native roaming profiles

Migration scipts for roaming profiles (or Citrix UPM) are discontinued. I need something to prepare migration for 600 users. Manual migration is just not possible.

  4. Inform Customers about new FSLogix release

Please create a way to inform us about a new Release from FSLogix.
We currently have problems and are eagerly waiting for the new release from FSLogix. The support has no way to inform us when the next version does come out.

  5. Provide tool to delete/ edit container contents

As the Container is "user" Data most companies are not allowed or authorized to touch user data without HR approval. It is also usual that 1st line respond teams do not have unlimited rights on storage to go mounting VHDs and deleting corrupt files (OST).

Provide a "self service" tool that can mount / access the in-use VHD and delete folders / files.

The supporter can guide users or do the work, while in a screen share.

  6. Allow redirected folders to be stored in a separate container

Allow redirected folders (Desktop, Downloads, Documents, etc) to be stored in a separate container that way the profile can be "reset" or deleted without loss of data. This would also hybrid on-prem/azure environments easier as you could leverage cloud cache for folder redirection as well.

  7. Vhdx auto-shrink on attach or detach

It would be really handy if the fslogix agent would be able to perform a shrink or cleanup action on the container, either during logon or log off to help keep vhdx's to as small as possible.

  8. Less-invasive indicator of Profile or Office Container attach status

It would be nice if there was a little pop-up to notify a user that their Profile or Office Container(s) did not attach, similar to what Windows gives when a user logs in with a Temp profile. This would not invade on the user's session, but would give them notice early on in case they want to change their work style (or log off and try again) so that they're not saving work to a location that would be lost or depending on something that only works when they have their container(s) correctly attached.

Make it visible to the End-Users when hovering over de systray-application in WHICH mode te Profile-container is mounted. At the moment this is not possible to see if this is in ReadWrite-mode or Read-Only mode. And this can be important to know for the end-user.
I assume the application knows in which mode it is working, so it must be easy to make this available via a tool-tip when hovering over the systray-application.
    Thanks,
    Chris Marreel

  10. FRXTrayTool should show Office Container status

The Tray Tool shows profile status and all the logs, but the status indicator at the top is ONLY for Profile status. I think there should be two status indicators, one for Profiles and one for Office Containers. Ideally the tray tool could read which component(s) are enabled and show status for only the enabled Container(s).

  11. Allow redirection of data, not in the profile, to an existing container

This request is to all an administrator to specify data, that is outside of the profile, to be included in an existing container, most likely the Office Container.

As an example, an organization has a line of business application that stores user information in a folder such as c:\LOBAppName\LOBUserData. There is a desire that this data roam with the user in non-persistent environments.

  12. Do not merge Changes to Container unless success full Logoff was triggered

when using a non-persistent VDI a FORCED reset often corrupts the container file or content (OST/ Windows search database). It would be better if a "difference" file is merged to the parent VHD if the session is ended successfully (Agent triggers / Merges at logoff). We fine 1/10 reset of a user session corrupts and with 90,000 users and 100's of resets every week this is a HIGH risk for us.

  13. Auto Delete of VHD/VHDX if Corrupt

When a container is becoming corrupt we are finding that the VHD/VHDX is stuck on 0MB and is pretty much useless. Rather than troubleshooting/manually deleting the container it would be good if a GPO could attempt to re-create a fresh container on logon rather than mounting the same container that is obviously corrupt.

If a there was a configurable GPO that could for example delete and re-create any container that was <500mb then it would fix the corrupt container itself by re-creating it.

  14. O365 Exclusions

It would be really useful if you could make exclusions using the Office 365 Container like you can with the Profile Container. After speaking with an FSLogix SME this was not setup to protect the O365 Container and ensure there are no problems. As new versions have been released and the product has matured, is this something that can be introduced?

  16. frxtray.exe and privcacy: allow to hide operational view for non-Admins

In other words "how to restrict standard users to basic view?"

Users could view other users logoff time in the operational view.

Besides disabling frxtray completely is there any workaround like permissions on a registry key?

  17. Container Searches, Non-Persistent Terminal Servers

We really need the ability to rely on searches for non persistent terminal servers. I get it, only Outlook email searches can be roamed. I had a 6 month long ticket that in the end, was just told the behavior we are seeing is expected. End users cannot properly search against their Desktop/Document folders, and I would expect that after they login, Windows will start adding that information to the search index. Nope. Users are also unable to search from their Contacts folders in Outlook (but they can oddly enough search from the People bar in the mail screen). I…

  19. FSLogix automation

full automation abilities so everything in FSLogix can be scripted.
This can provide scale around new deployments and a enable the move to a full devops deployment and management of WVD Session Hosts.

With the new model of App Attach, User Profiles and OS Images as 3 separate parts of the whole solution we will need to build at scale and deploy with scripts and templates, which means the need for 100% automation of the solution, end to end.
This requires that everything is scriptable.
