  1. Be able to delete old files with redirections.xml

Using redirections.xml to exclude folders such as cache and temporary folders. In case you exclude a folder in the xml file, only data added to the folder after the exclusion will not be kept in the profile container. But old data in an existing profile container will stay there. Then you need cleanup scripts to do that part. Why not be able to do that from redirections.xml?

  2. Provide tool to delete/ edit container contents

As the Container is "user" Data most companies are not allowed or authorized to touch user data without HR approval. It is also usual that 1st line respond teams do not have unlimited rights on storage to go mounting VHDs and deleting corrupt files (OST).

Provide a "self service" tool that can mount / access the in-use VHD and delete folders / files.

The supporter can guide users or do the work, while in a screen share.

  3. Migration tools for native roaming profiles

Migration scipts for roaming profiles (or Citrix UPM) are discontinued. I need something to prepare migration for 600 users. Manual migration is just not possible.

  4. Allow redirection of data, not in the profile, to an existing container

This request is to all an administrator to specify data, that is outside of the profile, to be included in an existing container, most likely the Office Container.

As an example, an organization has a line of business application that stores user information in a folder such as c:\LOBAppName\LOBUserData. There is a desire that this data roam with the user in non-persistent environments.

  5. Allow redirected folders to be stored in a separate container

Allow redirected folders (Desktop, Downloads, Documents, etc) to be stored in a separate container that way the profile can be "reset" or deleted without loss of data. This would also hybrid on-prem/azure environments easier as you could leverage cloud cache for folder redirection as well.

  6. security make java visible only for specific applications

As old java versions are often a specific requirement for aged application, they rappresent a huge security issue.
To eliminate security risks, FSLogix could hide java installation to all users and make it visible only for specific application/web sites.

Idea is to use application masking to hide all installed java versions (no default java version) and then allow accessing them using version control rule.

For example, CoreHR, needed by all users, requires java 1.6 installed. Ideally FSlogix can hide it using applciation masking rule preventing security risks, but make it available while requested by CoreHR only. Same for other java…

  8. Auto Delete of VHD/VHDX if Corrupt

When a container is becoming corrupt we are finding that the VHD/VHDX is stuck on 0MB and is pretty much useless. Rather than troubleshooting/manually deleting the container it would be good if a GPO could attempt to re-create a fresh container on logon rather than mounting the same container that is obviously corrupt.

If a there was a configurable GPO that could for example delete and re-create any container that was <500mb then it would fix the corrupt container itself by re-creating it.

  9. O365 Exclusions

It would be really useful if you could make exclusions using the Office 365 Container like you can with the Profile Container. After speaking with an FSLogix SME this was not setup to protect the O365 Container and ensure there are no problems. As new versions have been released and the product has matured, is this something that can be introduced?

  10. frxtray.exe and privcacy: allow to hide operational view for non-Admins

In other words "how to restrict standard users to basic view?"

Users could view other users logoff time in the operational view.

Besides disabling frxtray completely is there any workaround like permissions on a registry key?

  11. Allow portions of the Profile Container and/or Office Container to be placed on different storage

This request is to allow an administrator to specify that different types of data be placed in different storage locations.

As an example, when using Profile Containers, an administrator may want to place OneDrive data in one storage location, .OST data in one storage location, and the remainder of the profile in another storage location.

This request assumes that each location is a separate physical or logical storage location, with a separate VHD file created for each location.
